The Post-it app is an app that remains very faithful to its name. Its main function is to create a kind of quick note, like an actual post-it, or to capture an actual post-it. The feature to create Post-its involves writing on virtual notepads with various colors using a digital pen, similar to writing apps. But it’s so conceptual that you can’t use it like a real writing app. It’s only good for post-its. Personally, I’m disappointed that there are so many different types of post-its, for example, lined post-its like notebooks, but only plain, colored post-its that we know are available. Nevertheless, you can freely adjust the size as well.
Of course, if it had just ended with a simple ‘making Post-its, done! LOL,’ the app would have quietly faded away. The real value of this app lies in the ability to create multiple Post-its and manage those boards all at once. In reality, while using Post-its in daily life, we may jot down individual notes, but when dealing with more complex tasks, we often use multiple Post-its grouped together, or even fill an entire board with Post-its for such purposes. That’s how you can use it in this post-it app. Moreover, it seems that there is a feature in the app that allows you to share the Post-its saved in the app by grouping them. The app features a Brainstorming function. I will explain in detail later, but the app also has a function to capture real Post-it notes and transfer them to the app. Overall, it can be said that the emphasis is not on making the features exceptionally standout, but rather on implementing the use of actual Post-it notes into the app.

The Post-it app has a rare emotional quality that is hard to find in today’s apps. When choosing a Post-it note in the app, Post-its unfold in a variety of colors, which is quite cool. Oh, the emotion… You might think this isn’t much of an emotion, but if the app’s performance is consistent, these unexpected emotional aspects become surprisingly important. I believe that these aspects stand out distinctly, separate from the performance-related aspects. I like it.

As mentioned earlier, one of the key features of this Post-it app is the ability to capture real Post-it notes and upload them to the app. Moreover, it recognizes multiple Post-it notes simultaneously when you capture them at the same time! Oh… However, if it’s just about capturing and that’s it, then it wouldn’t be much different from a regular scanning app. This app surprisingly performs better than expected in text recognition. After using it, honestly, it’s not perfect, but for Korean, I think it’s doing quite well at this level. Roughly speaking, it seems to recognize everything except for very cursive handwriting.
네오 스마트펜은 한글이 잘 인식하지 않고, 로켓북은 한글 인식 자체가 안되는데 이 정도면 꽤나 선방한다고 생각합니다. 삼성 노트는 솔직히 거의 한글 인식 최강자 수준이니까 포스트 잇 앱정도 인식 수준이면 꽤나 잘 만들었다고 생각합니다. 앱 개발 경험이 많진 않을텐데 역시 대기업인가 싶었습니다. 한글 인식은 버릴 만도 한데 한국 챙겨줘서 고맙네요…

It exceeded my expectations, but personally, what I find hard to understand is that while the Apple Pencil supports pressure sensitivity, the S Pen does not. I personally believe that the S Pen leaves nothing to be desired in terms of performance. However, this aspect seems to be influenced by Apple, and from the perspective of Android users, it’s somewhat regrettable. Of course, honestly, I won’t be drawing any pictures on Post-its. Still, when you consider that a similar feature works on one side but not on the other, there is definitely a noticeable aspect of reverse discrimination. If the Post-it app had made money on its own, I would have given plenty of feedback and requested additional features… but the likelihood of that seems a bit low.

One of the undeniable advantages of this app is that it is completely free. Exactly, although there are parts that appear as if they are premium features, when you enter, they are actually promoting their real Post-it products. However, honestly, do Post-its really need to be advertised? They’re quite well-known, aren’t they? Although there are many imitations, that’s true. It’s essentially a completely free app.
사실 개인이 프리랜서로 사용할 경우에는 더 좋은 앱들도 많을 것같다는 생각도 듭니다. 혹은 캡쳐 기능을 사용하지 않을 경우 사실 Zoho 노트북이나 구글 킵같은 앱이 더 좋습니다. 하지만 이 앱은 오프라인과 온라인에서 동시에 사용할 수 있다는 것이 핵심 포인트이고, 그렇기에 상당히 유연하게 사용할 수 있어서 좋다고 생각합니다. 앱을 사용하는 목적이 뚜렷해서 확실한 사용자를 확보할 수 있을 앱 같습니다.
