There are a few things to do after installing WordPress. The first of them is WordPress Google search registration. We needed to do ‘Google search registration’ by Google Webmaster when I wrote it first in 2018, but we don’t need it anymore. Google couldn’t read your website if we don’t do ‘Google search resignation’, but it is naturally done when we use WordPress websites like using SEO Plugins nowadays.
다만 구글은 필수적으로 하게 되는 것과 별개로 네이버 역시 네이버 서치 어드바이저(예전 네이버 웹마스터 도구)에 사이트를 등록하는 것이 좋냐 안 좋냐 의견은 지금도 분분합니다. 당시에는 서치 어드바이저에 본인 사이트를 등록하지 않으면 워드프레스 유저는 페널티가 있었습니다만, 지금은 제 블로그가 네이버에 아예 걸리지 않는 수준이라서 필요 없나 싶기도 하고요… 네이버는 확실히 네이버 위주로 검색결과가 나옵니다. 그리고 그 현상은 점점 심해지고 있습니다.
그래도 아래 과정 자체는 워드프레스를 사용하기 전 반드시 해줘야 할 과정들입니다. 원래는 네이버 등에 검색 등록하는 방법도 지금 글에 다 적었었는데 분량이 너무 과해서 글을 세 개로 나눴습니다. 아, 참고로 이 과정 이후에는 워드프레스 SEO 작업도 해주시는 것이 좋습니다. 이 글 역시 항시 업데이트하고자 합니다. 워드프레스 구글 검색 등록 방법입니다!

워드프레스 구글 검색 등록 방법!
사이트 운영자시면 당연히, 아니 자연스럽게 하실 과정
구글 도구들이 몇 가지 있습니다만 일단 구글 서치 콘솔(Google Search Console)은 설정하기 쉬운 편입니다. 예전에는 구글 웹마스터 도구라는 친구를 사용하면 더 쉽게 워드프레스 검색등록이 가능했었습니다만 이제는 구글 서치 콘솔을 사용해줘야 합니다. 몇 가지 절차가 생겨서 조금은 복잡해진 듯도 하지만 그 대신 이 도구가 아주 강력하기 때문에 어지간한 블로거나 사이트 운영자분들은 당연히 사용하실 것입니다. 이 참에 등록한다고 생각하시고 사용해주시면 좋을 듯합니다.

There are many ways to register ‘Google Search Console’ but you can use one among them. Especially for WordPress users, there is a really easy way. I will write it one by one to the best of my ability.
1. Google Search Console registration by using Domain (I don’t recommend it personally…)
I accessed Google Search Console to update this post. And I could see how to register our website by using the domain recently. Google Says it is possible to verify ownership of your websites when you register your domain by well-known domain company like GoDaddy I wanted to show how to do it… but I don’t know about it well… is it because my domain company is not well known maybe?
솔직히 뒤에서 말할 방법이 워드프레스 유저분들에게는 더 쉽습니다. 그리고 제 도메인 사이트가 개인적으로 마음에 안 들어서요; 솔직히 딴데 가고 싶은데… 하여튼 워드프레스 유저분들에게 더 쉽고 간단한 검색 등록 방법은 밑에서 추가로 설명하겠습니다.
2. Using HTML Tag
워드프레스 플러그인을 사용하지 않으신다면 보통 이 방법을 선택하실 듯합니다.
일단 첫 사진처럼 위의 코드를 워드프레스의 <Head> 부분에 넣어주는 방법이 있습니다. 다만 저 코드를 다른 과정 없이 스스로 확인하고 만지실 정도의 분이면 이 글 안 읽으실 것이라고 생각합니다. 우리 같은 초보에게는 더 쉬운 방법이 있습니다. 바로 스크립트 플러그인을 사용하는 것입니다.
You can search ‘head’ on the plugin page. then you can see many related plugins. You just can find and use whatever you like it. After that, usually when such plug-ins enter the code, they automatically put it in the section. These plugins have similar features, so you just can what you want.
3. Using Google Analytics (or using related Plugins)
다른 구글 도구인 구글 애널리틱스(Google Analytics)를 사용해줘도 구글 서치 콘솔에 등록이 됩니다. 위의 설명만 보시면 사실 위의 2번과 많이 비슷해 보입니다. 저도 사실 위의 <head> 입력 플러그인에 구글 애널리틱스용 코드를 입력해준 것입니다.
But we, WordPress users, always have easier methods. That is using SEO plugins or Google Analytics integration plugins. You may use these plugins to use WordPress properly. And you may register Google Analytics naturally during using these plugins. And registration Google Search Console naturally too…
That screenshot is a SEO plugin called Rank Math, which I use now. But you can use other plugins like famous Yoast SEO and so on. I used Yoast SEO before, and it is still the most famous one. I left what I wrote in the past at the bottom of the article. If the interface has not changed, it will be available for reference even now.
These SEO plugins or Google Analytics plugins need to be as easy to use as possible for users to be successful, so using this method you can easily register your WordPress site on Google Search Console. I used Google Analytics Plugin called Analytify before. I don’t use it now, but it was so nice plugin.
4. 구글 사이트 킷(Site Kit by Google) 사용
사실 지금 설명할 이 방법이 가장 좋습니다. 바로 구글에서 직접 구글 플러그인을 만들어버렸거든요… 이 친구가 예전에 제가 처음 깔았을 때는 사용자수가 그렇게 많지 않았습니다만, 지금은 엄청나게 인기가 많아져서 순식간에 사용자가 이백만 명을 넘어버렸습니다 오오… 사용법 역시 엄청나게 쉬워서 사실 이 플러그인만 사용해주면 위의 방법들이 다 쓸모 없어지는 수준으로 손쉽게 워드프레스 구글 검색 등록이 가능합니다.
위 사진처럼 대시보드에 들어가신 후 구글의 인도대로 해주시면 바로 구글 서비스들에 등록이 됩니다. 애널리틱스, 구글 서치 콘솔, 구글 애드센스 등에 다 연결해줄 수 있습니다. 그리고 덤으로 워드프레스 대시보드에서 블로그 현황을 볼 수 있다는 것도 장점입니다.
But its figures are quite simple, someone who needs a detailed one or sees those data on the web doesn’t need this plugin. or Site Kit by Google has some flaws like putting advertisements unruly… so I think you may use the web too.
But it is reliable because it is often updated. And it is very easy to use, so I recommend it. I think this plugin makes the status of most Google Analytics plugins precarious in real. Moreover, it is free to use…
- 아래의 방법은 예전 구글 웹마스터를 사용한 방법이라서 지금과는 인터페이스가 많이 다릅니다. 요즘 자주 쓰일 듯한 방법은 위에 다 적어 놨으니 밑의 방법들은 사용할 일이 없으실 듯합니다. 예전에는 이런 식으로 워드프레스 구글 검색 등록을 했구나… 정도로만 가볍게 생각해주세요.
You can see this screen when you run Google Webmaster Tool first time. Those two sites are already existing sites before. So you can ignore them.
You need to click that red ‘add properties’ and write your URL then you can see your sites there. Then You have to confirm your ownership.
You will usually do it by uploading HTML files. You can upload it by using FTP. Or you can use the method to add HTML tags too. You can just add that tag in your website, but the code setting is often difficult if you use a paid theme. I solved both things at the same time by registering Google Analytics.
You can register easily by doing ‘new attributes’ after entering Google Analytics.
If you enter the ‘tracking information’ in the middle of the place and know the ‘tracking ID’, you can use it in the process below. I took a screenshot before, but because of my ID exposing… sorry about it;
There are many SEO plugins and I used Yoast SEO. This screenshot above is the first screen, and just enter Search Console on the left and you can see the picture below. If it goes like this, it is a success.
You can do this part without too much trouble by entering ‘get google authorization code’ over there.
There are many Google Analytics plugins and I used ‘Google Analytics Dashboard for WP’ before. The most popular Google Analytics plugin is maybe ‘monsterinsights’ but it needs a premium version to use perfectly.
It was correct in 2018 when I write about it first, but it became different now. Its name is changed and has a paid version. So, it has received many bad comments because of losing its initial mind and so on. And that plugin made my blog slow, so I don’t use it anymore.

You can do it easily by just clicking that red ‘Get Access Code’.
The words were a little round, but it turned out successful when this phrase popped up after checking ownership using Google Analytics. In the past, you registered your WordPress website on Google like this. Please think about it that much.

In the past, when I registered my Google Blogger on Google, I also used Nate search registration, and I used IFTTT, but I excluded it because I thought it was unnecessary in the world these days.
2018년에 처음 적은 글을 올해 2022년에 엄청나게 리뉴얼했습니다. 그리고 간간이 내용을 업데이트하고 있습니다. 원래도 분량이 제법 되는 글이었지만 지금 다 쓰고 나니 2500단어, 글자수로 치면 만 자가 훨씬 넘을 정도로 엄청나게 방대해져버렸습니다. 4년이라는 시간 동안 제 필력이 늘어난 것 같…지는 않고 그냥 제 지식이 조오금 늘었고 글도 예전보다는 보다 체계적으로 쓰려고 하다 보니 그렇게 된 것 같습니다. 그리고 지금 이 글을 몇 시간째 쓰고 있는지… 무슨 유튜브 영상 수준으로 빡세네요;
다만 좀 씁쓸한 점은 글을 이렇게나 길게 썼음에도 SEO적인 혜택이 그렇게 없습니다. 블로그는 역시 600자만 넘으면 되는 건지… 그러다보니 글을 몇 부분으로 쪼개놨습니다. 그래도 열심히 썼으니 앞으로는 매년 업데이트를 하겠습니다…
